Project Spotlight: A Wine Cellar Like No Other

This exquisite wine storage room was custom created by David V. of St. Louis, Missouri.

When you step inside this customized wine cellar, the attention to detail is mesmerizing. David tells us that all parts are made of solid cherry wood that he finished with several coats of Sherwin Williams pre-cat lacquer. It is insulated and chilled with a Whisper Kool chiller hidden in the upper cabinet. The racking and shelves are made of solid cherry that he harvested himself. Another charming detail is that the mural was painted by David’s daughter.

From Outwater, he used two island legs with grape detail, applique scrolls on the arch above the posts, and rope trim moulding that cover the seams between the racks and cabinets.

As for lighting, there’s an LED recessed light connected to a dimmer and LED strip lights to illuminate the display trays and wine storage area under the countertop.
